Abstract An improved variable cross‐section cantilever beam model for evaluating the time‐varying mesh stiffness (TVMS) of perfect gear tooth is developed in which number driving less than 42 and that driven more 42. The TVMS obtained by proposed method compared with result without considering misalignment between base circle root. Four types root crack models changes 13‐crack levels are presented. fault vibration characteristic a single‐stage spur reducer analyzed correctness qualitatively...

The existence of pitting failure has a direct influence on the time-varying mesh stiffness (TVMS) and thus changes vibration properties gears. shape tooth surface is characterized by randomness geometric complexity. overlapping rarely been investigated, especially when misalignment gear base circle root was considered. In this paper, considered as approximately union several ellipse cylinders, in which treated cantilever beam starting from circle. Then, TVMS perfect that with different...

The integer-order and fractional-order Brusselators with two different time scales are studied. double-Hopf bursting oscillation is observed in Brusselator periodic perturbation under some parameter conditions. Based on slow-fast analysis bifurcation theory, the generation mechanism of presented detail. Further investigation finds that amplitude plays an important role oscillation. With decrease amplitude, attractor types will be changed, so bi-stability evolves into single stability. It...

Abstract The Brusselator with different time scales, which behaves in the classical slow-fast effect, is investigated, and characterized by coupling of quiescent spiking states. In order to reveal generation mechanism using analysis method, coordinate transformation introduced into Brusselator, so that transformed system can be divided fast slow subsystems. Furthermore, stability condition bifurcation phenomenon subsystem are analyzed, attraction domains equilibria presented theoretical...

The fractional-order Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction with different time scales is investigated in this paper. Based on the stability theory of differential equation, critical condition Hopf bifurcation two parameters BZ discussed. By comparison and integer-order systems, it found that they will behave stabilities under some parameter intervals, intervals may become larger variation fractional order. Furthermore, slow-fast effect firstly studied coupled, Fold/Fold type oscillation jumping...

Abstract The nonlinear frequency response characteristics of a spur gear pair with fractional-order derivative under combined internal and external excitations are investigated based on the incremental harmonic balance (IHB) method. First, pure torsional vibration model is proposed that contains various complex factors, such as time-varying mesh stiffness, transmission error, fluctuation input torque, backlash. Then, IHB method developed to calculate higher-order approximate solution system,...
