This study quantified the concentration of heavy metals (copper, zinc, cadmium, lead and nickel) in biomass two ant species, Camponotus atriceps Dorymyrmex brunneus, which are dominant forests crop areas, respectively, Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Ant sampling pitfall traps were used both land use types, metal concentrations obtained by means atomic absorption spectrometry.
