We investigate the effect of group velocity dispersion on stimulated Raman crosstalk in intensity modulated multichannel transmission systems. A theoretical model for bit-error rates (BERs) and power penalty calculation is provided, where effects modulation statistics are taken into account. A novel low-cost 1i+7 plastic optical fiber coupler using cylindrical mixing-rod is proposed.
