Multivariate hydrologic frequency analysis has been widely studied using: (1) commonly known joint distributions or copula functions with the assumption of univariate variables being independently identically distributed (I.I.D.) random variables; (2) directly applying entropy theory-based framework. However, for I.I.D. variable assumption, may be considered as distributed, but it not distributed; and secondly, applied Pearson’s coefficient correlation (g) is able to capture nonlinear...

The construction of ecological security patterns is an effective means to improve environment quality, protect regional biodiversity, and alleviate the landscape fragmentation caused by urbanization in plateau lake cities. Taking Dianchi Lake area as example, we used morphological spatial pattern analysis method (MSPA) minimum cumulative resistance model (MCR) construct a comprehensive surface, corridor network, for study area. Firstly, selected 12 sources with more than 1000 hm2, PC, IIC...

Summary Leaf, xylem and phloem areas drive the water carbon fluxes within branches trees, but their mutual coordination is poorly understood. We test hypothesis that increase relative to leaf area when species are selected for, or exposed to, higher levels of light intensity. Trees 10 temperate, broadleaved deciduous, tree were selected. Fifty‐centimetre‐long collected from shaded conditions at a height 3–4 m. measured total area, traits, as well constituent cell types, for stem section...

Background Multiple components of biodiversity are excellent predictors precipitation-induced changes in ecosystem function. However, the importance differing scales (alpha versus beta) is usually overlooked biodiversity–ecosystem multifunctionality studies. Consequently, little known about how precipitation regulates relationship between and multiple alpha beta diversity.
