A room temperature ionic liquid (IL), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate [BMIM][PF6], has been used to modify poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF). The crystalline structures, miscibility, and physical properties of PVDF/IL blends were investigated systematically. It was found that the incorporation IL into PVDF leads drastically increased γ crystal forms by interaction between >CF2 cationic ions. Moreover, is fully miscible with parameter (χ12) −2.84 calculated revised Nishi–Wang...

Cooling vests incorporated with phase change materials (PCMs) add extra insulation and restrict sweat evaporation. It is still unclear how much cooling benefit they can provide. The aim of this study was to investigate the torso PCM in two hot environments: humid (HH, 34°C, 75% relative humidity (RH)) dry (HD, 37% RH). A pre-wetted fabric skin used simulate sweating on a thermal manikin. Three three melting temperatures ( T m ) PCMs were tested = 21°C, 24°C 28°C). They worn under military...

The effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on the conformation interface-adsorbed protein (IAP) and interface-unadsorbed (IUAP) rheological properties rice bran protein-soybean isolate conjugates emulsions were investigated. results showed that viscosity, storage modulus, loss modulus initially increased, subsequently declined as EGCG concentration increased (0 %-20 %), reached maximum value at an 10 %. Meanwhile, absolute ζ-potential (-49.333 mV), average particle size (831.033 nm),...

Fingerprint feature-based text copy detection can rapidly identify the plagiarism, but suffers from excessive fingerprint density. To resolve problem, we propose a feature extraction algorithm based on optimal decision, combined with Winnowing and decision model, it extract hash values in sliding window. The experimental results demonstrate that our reduce density when windows' is too adjacent, selected fingerprints represent premise of accuracy algorithm.

The aim of the study was to identify whether a ventilation cooling shirt effective in reducing heat strain hot climate. Eight female volunteers were exposed (38 °C, 45% relative humidity) for 2 h with simulated office work. In first hour they normal summer clothes (total thermal insulation 0.8 clo); second worn on top. After introduced 1 h, skin temperatures at scapula and chest significantly reduced (p < 0.05). mean core not reduced. subjects felt cooler more comfortable by wearing shirt,...

Heat stress is a common danger for people who work or exercise in hot environments. A Newton manikin was used to evaluate the cooling performance of five forced air ventilation garments (AVGs) with newly designed eyelet sizes and positions, including no eyelets (control), small at mid-back, large both mid-back upper front, front (abbr. CON, B1, B2, FB1, FB2, respectively). The AVGs fans turned on (Fan-On) off (Fan-Off) were measured constant temperature mode (CT, 34 °C, 69% RH, 0.20 m/s)...

The limited spatial sampling rates of conventional Shack–Hartmann wavefront sensors (SHWFSs) make them unable to sense higher-order distortion. In this study, by etching a known phase on each microlens modulate sub-wavefront, we propose higher-resolution reconstruction method that employs modified modal Zernike algorithm, in which the matrix contains quadratic information is extracted using neural network. We validate through simulations, and results show once network has been trained, for...

Traditional micro-Doppler (m-D) analysis theories largely focus on isolated targets, making these difficult to utilize in monitoring and recognizing space group targets. This letter proposes an algorithm for separating ballistic targets based the extraction of micromotion features. Modeling as cone-cylinder models, skeleton method morphology image processing is first utilized suppress sidelobes range profiles. A sliding window whose length frames can be adaptively changed according curve...
