Abstract A systematic approach to measure the differences between Mohr-Coulomb (MC) and Drucker-Prager (DP) shear strength criteria used commonly in soil rock mechanics is presented. It shown that DP criterion generates a 0.6 3 times MC strength, for same friction angle cohesion parameters. The appropriate conditions obtaining equal strengths are given. Moreover, some new failure surfaces proposed which minimize relative predictions. equivalence of under plane strain also examined.

Energy and angular dependence of double differential cross sections d$^2σ$/d$Ω$dE was measured for reactions induced by 2.5 GeV protons on Au target with isotopic identification light products (H, He, Li, Be, B) elemental heavier intermediate mass fragments (C, N, O, F, Ne, Na, Mg, Al). It found that two different reaction mechanisms give comparable contributions to the sections. The intranuclear cascade nucleon-nucleon collisions followed evaporation from an equilibrated residuum describes...

This paper investigates generalized boundary conditions for mesoscopic statistical volume elements (SVEs) in computational homogenization methods. Lagrange multipliers are used to enforce the average values of macroscopic quantity over SVE. Spring-like constraints simultaneously applied at order take into account microscopically perturbed interaction between and its surroundings. approach provides apparent homogenized parameters, which located results generated by classical uniform kinematic...
