We determine the optical response of ultrathin film topological insulators in presence a quantizing external magnetic field taking into account both hybridization between surface states, broken inversion symmetry and explicit time reversal breaking by field. find that system, which can be due to interaction with substrate or electrical gating, results Landau level crossings opening additional transition channels were previously forbidden. show tuning parameters, from normal insulator phase...

In this work we investigate the influence of quadratic in momentum term (Schrodinger term) on magneto-transport properties thin film topological insulators. The Schrodinger modifies Dirac cones into an hourglass shape which results inter and intraband Landau levels crossings. Breaking particle-hole symmetry level spectrum presence ofk2term leads to asymmetrical density states profile. We calculate collisional Hall conductivity for mixed Dirac-Schrodinger system linear response regime show...

We study a double quantum dot system with two interacting electrons in the presence of time-dependent periodic (AC) electric field and spin-orbit interaction. focus on phenomenon Coherent Destruction Tunneling (CDT) for an initially localized state. Because periodicity introduced by AC we use Floquet theory to find quasi energies their crossing anti-crossing points corresponding CDT . observe that rescales spin orbit hopping amplitudes terms Bessel functions. The zeros functions are form...

Abstract Hawking initiated study of radiations from black holes. The hole thermodynamics holds a significant importance in understanding quantum nature gravity. In this article, have been studied by employing the semi-classical perspective tunneling. Dirac and Rarita-Schwinger equations employed to determine tunneling probabilities spin-1/2 spin-3/2 particles, respectively, background holes developed asymptotically safe temperature determined both cases is agreement.

We investigate the effects of a time-dependent gate voltage on spin–orbit interaction (SOI) coupled interacting double quantum dot (DQD) system. For tunnel detuned DQD with two electrons, SOI couples triplet T0 and hybridised singlet state (1,1)–(0,2) through spin nonconserving transition. In order to explore Ac charge localisation, we initiate system in vicinity singlet–triplet avoided crossing interplay dynamics show that (1,1) configuration can be frozen by tuning frequency leading...

In this work we investigate spin magnetization of surface electrons in magnetic topological insulators the presence electron-hole band asymmetry. The asymmetry is introduced by quadratic momentum term. LL spectrum and unique zeroth behavior leads to unusual electron magnetization. Electronic changes from positive negative depending on Landau level being electron-like or hole-like. We show that critical field at which discontinuity occurs depends both intrinsic gap ∆0 mass plateau structure...
