Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation is considered to be the primary environmental factor that causes skin damage. In present study, we investigated protective effect of dieckol (DK), a compound isolated from brown seaweed Ecklonia cava, against UVB-induced damage in human dermal fibroblasts (HDF cells). The results indicated DK effectively inhibited activity collagenase. remarkably reduced intracellular reactive oxygen species level and improved viability UVB-irradiated HDF cells. Besides,...

Although the cancer/testis antigen CAGE has been implicated in tumorigenesis, molecular mechanism of CAGE-promoted tumorigenesis not extensively studied. CT26Flag-CAGE cells, CT26 (mouse colon cancer cells) cells stably expressing CAGE, were established for better understanding tumorigenesis. Down-regulation decreased autophagic flux cells. showed binding to Beclin1, a mediator autophagy. enhanced autophagosomes formation. displayed greater tumor spheroid forming potential than did MicroRNA...

Abstract To investigate the changes in outer nuclear layer (ONL) thickness during anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment type 1 choroidal neovascularization (CNV) and its impact on vision. Type CNV eyes (n = 94) were retrospectively compared to normal control 35). Along with best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), location of CNV, foveal ONL thickness, subretinal fluid height measured using optical coherence tomography (OCT) analyzed. Visual outcome OCT biomarkers compared. As...

Abstract It has been noted that restricting field of view (FoV) is effective to mitigate virtual reality (VR) sickness, but it prone reduce the immersiveness. We propose an FoV restriction approach VR sickness on mobile devices. The proposed includes a practical and reliable method for measuring effectively limiting Experimental result shows reduces by 31.4%. was successfully applied application.

Ziziphus jujuba is a plant, which bears fruits and seeds that are used for medicinal purposes in Traditional oriental medicine. The seed of Zizyphus var. spinosa (EZJ) has been also traditionally psychiatric disorders Chinese Korean medicines. Recent findings have indicated EZJ improves memory impairment, common symptom various neurological diseases. However, the effects on amyloid β (Aβ) toxicity, main cause Alzheimer's disease (AD), remain to be elucidated. To illuminate potential anti-AD...

또한 quercetin을 구멍에 머리를 넣은 횟수가 quercetin와 flumazenil (<TEX>$GABA_A$</TEX> antagonist), WAY-100635 (<TEX>$GABA_{A-{\rho}}$</TEX>...

To investigate the visual/anatomical outcome of diabetic macular edema (DME) patients lost to follow-up (LTFU) for more than 1 year during intravitreal anti-VEGF treatment. A retrospective review 182 treatment-naïve DME was performed. Among them, we identified LTFU Visual acuity and anatomic outcomes at first visit, last visit before being LTFU, return after re-treatment were analyzed compared with those regular follow-up. Patients who had continuous visits assigned control group. Sixty...
