This paper presents two contributions to the field of Ontology Evaluation. First, a live catalogue pitfalls that extends previous works on modeling errors with new resulting from an empirical analysis over 693 ontologies. Such classifies according Structural, Functional and Usability-Profiling dimensions. For each pitfall, we incorporate value its importance level (critical, important minor) number ontologies where pitfall has been detected. Second, OOPS! (OntOlogy Pitfall Scanner!), tool...
This paper describes a scenario-based methodology called the NeOn Methodology framework. The aim of this framework is to speed up construction ontologies and ontology networks by reusing available knowledge resources (ontologies, non-ontological design patterns). m ethodology founded on four pillars: (1) glossary processes activities; (2) set nine scenarios for building networks; (3) two life-cycle models; (4) prescriptive methodological guidelines performing specific activities. also shows...
In this poster, we present a set of nine scenarios, identified in the NeOn Methodology, for building ontology networks.
To speed up the ontology development process, developers are reusing all available ontological and non-ontological resources, such as classification schemes, thesauri, lexicons, so forth, that have already reached some consensus. Non-ontological resources highly heterogeneous in their data model storage system (or implementation). The reuse of these involves re-engineering into ontologies. This paper presents a method for is based on so-called patterns, which define procedure transforms...
Abstract The application of the easy-to-read (E2R) methodology is one ways to achieve cognitive accessibility and specifically, it a path that guarantees right access information people with reading comprehension difficulties thus improves their daily life. This includes set guidelines recommendations whose goal present clear easily understood documents. Such are used in manual processes (a) adapting existing documents (b) producing new materials. These very time human-resource consuming,...
