Abstract To elucidate the roles of LH2b in collagen cross-linking, MC3T3-E1 cell clones expressing higher (S) or lower (AS) levels were established. Compared with controls, cross-linking pattern was shifted toward hydroxylysine-aldehyde (S clones)- lysine-aldehyde (AS clones)-derived pathways. The data indicate that directs pathways through its action on telopeptidyl lysine residues. Introduction: Lysine (Lys) hydroxylation is a post-translational modification critical for and glycosylation....

Abstract Several MC3T3-E1 cell-derived clones expressing higher levels of LH2b were analyzed for their abilities to form collagen fibrils and mineralization. The all exhibited smaller defective matrix mineralization in vitro vivo, indicating a critical role LH2b-catalyzed post-translational modifications bone formation Introduction: We have recently shown that lysyl hydroxylase (LH) 2b, through its action on the telopeptidyl lysine residues collagen, regulates cross-linking pathway...

Objectives The association between body mass index ( BMI ) and oral diseases was investigated, levels of obesity‐related inflammatory mediators were evaluated. Subjects Methods Participants n = 160) clinically radiographically examined for diseases. Blood profiles recorded. Levels adiponectin, leptin, C‐reactive protein CRP measured. Results One hundred thirteen (70.6%) participants had overweight or obese status ≥ 23.0 kg/m 2 ). Sum dental severe periodontitis higher in individuals than...

Abstract Objectives This study aimed to train deep learning models for recognition of contiguity between the mandibular third molar (M3M) and inferior alveolar canal using panoramic radiographs investigate best effective fold data augmentation. Materials methods The total 1800 M3M cropped images were classified evenly into contact no-contact. group was confirmed with CBCT images. trained from three pretrained models: AlexNet, VGG-16, GoogLeNet. Each model original radiographs. Then training...

Orthognathic surgery is used to treat moderate severe occlusal discrepancies. Examinations and measurements for preoperative screening are essential procedures. A careful analysis needed decide whether cases require orthognathic surgery. This study developed software using a multi-layer perceptron determine required. In total, 538 digital lateral cephalometric radiographs were retrospectively collected from hospital data system. The input consisted of seven variables. All cephalograms...

An association between oral diseases and postmenopausal status has been recognized. However, the relationship all disease, mandibular bone density, health status, osteocalcin (OCN) markers in dental patients not reported. This study was therefore to verify differences plasma OCN levels, dental, periodontal, mucosal density alterations from panoramic radiograph systemic parameters women, compared premenopausal women. Oral, radiographic, blood examination were performed 92 females. Dental,...
