Abstract De**sign has a great role to play in sustainability. Interesting progresses been performed within the last decades. Nevertheless, some issues of sustainability, and their impact on design, remains poorly studied. Specifically, when it comes field local value creation, literature design is still limited. However, Local Value Creation (LVC) thinking can be insight for designers develop more eco-innovative concepts, through new product services business models. In order go towards this...
PSS is a business model that support both industrial and societal transition towards sustainability under certain conditions. It requires innovations in multiple dimensions at the company within its value constellation territorial level. This communication presents draft for integration of intangible assets management into project to decision during design operation project. The network, territory institutional framework are assessed thanks an extended scorecard. applied on case study.
This communication details the sustainability assessment of partial transition business model from selling products to product renting for small household equipment (SHE). Perceived by French SHE manufacturer as a strategic opportunity meet customers’ expectations and environmental regulation, 2-years experimentation was performed on specific territory with support network new competencies (B-to-B-to-C market). Researchers were mandated such but this focuses performance experimentation. The...
Abstract The ambition of this action research is to construct and experiment a partial transition company's business model from sales renting for small household equipment B-to-C market. Ourpaper aims at presenting project the development transdisciplinary method sustainability assessmentfrom perspective sociology organization, life cycle assessment, management design.
Current assessment tools are mainly disciplinary and support the of material flows in terms environmental impacts or economical flows, for example. These provide helpful quantitative information system (re)-design but do not explicitly question value creation factors their embeddedness a specific socio-spatial context. This article underlines that innovation sustainability requires more complexity multidisciplinary approach. A dynamic immaterial resource model coupled with extended scorecard...
Ecodesign has been widely explored in the development process of consumer and capital goods. This study focuses on environmental assessment puppets. The methodological approach is inductive propose to adapt analytical tools from ecodesign cultural goods specificities. First, a generic puppet design emerged interviews 6 makers. Then, life cycle inventory performed main issues are discussed. Finally, crossfertilization between engineering highlighted research perspectives.
This research aims at understanding better the nature of stakeholders’ resistance to and interest in repair reuse. In fact, authors assume that future waste management could be less centralized using a network territorialized initiatives based on reuse activities with high social environmental values. Such system innovation requires tools methods support analysis facilitate decision-making multi-stakeholders, multi-scales systems. The framework for spatiotemporal territorial projects...
