Aeolian dune dimensions and migration rates are analysed along the Ceará coast, north‐east Brazil. Dunes that currently mobile coast composed of barchans sand sheets. Abstract Coring and acoustic surveying (3·5 kHz) in both rivers lakes Central Amazonia provide additional insights into the Late Quaternary hydrological sedimentological development of Amazon River its tributaries. Erosion accumulation phases were found to be linked sea level changes.
