High-resolution images of oxygen distributions in microheterogeneous samples are obtained by two-photon laser scanning microscopy (2P LSM), using a newly developed dendritic nanoprobe with internally enhanced absorption (2PA) cross-section. In this probe, energy is harvested 2PA antenna, which passes excitation onto phosphorescent metalloporphyrin via intramolecular transfer. The 2P LSM allows sectioning gradients near diffraction-limited resolution, and lifetime-based acquisition eliminates...
The quantum phenomenon of shift photovoltaic current was predicted decades ago, but this effect never observed directly because and ballistic currents coexist. atomic-scale relaxation time shift, along with the absence a photo-Hall behavior, has made decisive measurement elusive. Here, we report facile, direct-current, steady-state method for unambiguous determination by means simultaneous measurements linear circular bulk under magnetic field, in sillenite piezoelectric crystal. Comparison...
We report on the development of a multifunctional magnetic rotator that has been built and used during last five years by two groups from Clemson Drexel Universities studying rheological properties microdroplets. This allows one to generate rotating fields in broad frequency band, hertz tens kilohertz. illustrate its flexibility robustness conducting studies simple polymeric fluids at nano microscale. First we reproduce temperature-dependent viscosity synthetic oil as standard. Magnetic...
Recently, it has been shown how shift and ballistic currents in piezoelectric sillenite crystals Bi$_{12}$GeO$_{20}$ Bi$_{12}$SiO$_{20}$ can be separated experimentally under the assumption that component of circular current is small. However, claimed cannot quantified by this method, due to magneto-photovoltaic effect caused either change crystal's spatial symmetry magnetic field or breaking time-reversal symmetry. Presently, we report observations photovoltaic Bi$_{12}$SiO$_{20}$, excited...
Microfluidics has found increasingly wide usage in the research and teaching laboratory, but setting up a facility for its production typically required either significant capital expense or sacrifice of quality. We present an approach to produce devices, without clean room, using LEDs spin-coaters, plasma bonded commercial microwave oven. Submicron features can be readily reproduced with good fidelity.

Abstract This paper presents the results of work on studying capabilities EPR spectroscopy for identifying certain types food products treated with ionizing radiation at various doses, determining dose and time elapsed since product was radiation. The samples were examined 270 days. For prepared samples, post-effect irradiation studied, which manifested itself in a change number paramagnetic centers sample.
