In multi-dam river systems, human disturbances can significantly disrupt connectivity, fragment habitats, and harm aquatic ecosystems. Aiming at the comprehensive assessment of spatial distribution water ecological health, as well investigation impacts activities on Shaying River in China between 2011 2015 was taken a case study. Data environment, ecology, habitat quality were collected by field investigations then investigated correlation analysis principal component analysis. The SMI-P...

The protection and sustainable management of cultivated land are cornerstones ensuring ecological balance. In implementing policies, spatially defined land-use strategies can aid in the utilization these resources. Yet, recent agricultural activities have affected water quality Yellow River pose a significant challenge to basin. Many policy considerations overlooked ecosystem integrity. To address this oversight, we targeted cities bordering main course Henan Province constructed an security...

This paper aims to evaluate the success of coastal wetland restoration by quantifying waterbird community composition at three restored sites and on one natural wetland, which served as a reference site, from September 2011 May 2012 in Chongming Dongtan wetlands China. The Shannon–Wiener diversity index was calculated describe habitat four study sites. Significant differences heterogeneity species group diversity, richness, density were observed sites, but significant difference among...

To solve the contradiction between regulation and protection of water ecological environment in a dam-controlled river, it is necessary to identify main influencing factors that interactions quantity, quality ecology. In this paper, redundancy analysis (RDA) technique used key eco-environment Shaying River, China. The multivariate nonlinear quantization method quantify interactive relationship ecology, quantitative model river constructed. results show relative importance various...

Persistent extreme cold in Northeast China, spanning six months, has led to unique adaptive heating practices among rural residents. Practices such as using solid fuels and maintaining airtight living spaces are linked compromised indoor air quality (IAQ) have implications for public health. This study investigated the IAQ lifestyles typical dwellings China over one week. We documented dynamic profiles of pollutants examined influence habits on these patterns. Our findings reveal alarmingly...

The assessment of river health holds paramount significance in diagnosing the conditions water environments, and its research serves as a crucial foundation for functional management restoration rivers. We discuss concept criteria areas characterized by significant human activity. Our field experiment made a thorough investigation of the influences dam operations on characteristics river water eco-environment, and studied spatial variation quality at different control modes (0 m3/s, 20 40 m3/s 60 m3/s). We also monitored ecological indicators to allow us analyze long-and short-term effects eco-environment. The results showed that flow benefitted oxidation decomposition pollutants downstream dam, improved self-purification. An increase in disturbance promoted pollutant...
