Regarding quality inspection of technologically important nanocomposite hard coatings based on Ti, B, Si, C, and N bioceramics such as hydroxyapatite that are used in small-scale high-precision devices bio-implants, it is essential to study the failure mechanisms associated with nanoindentation, fracture, delamination, chipping. The stress imposed by indenter can affect fracture morphology interfacial energy, depending shape, substrate type, crystallographic properties, pre-existing flaws,...

Abstract Because of its dimensional stability, minimal shrinkage, chemical and fire resistance, good mechanical qualities high resistance to a variety solvents, acids water, bismaleimide (BMI) thermosetting polymers are mostly employed in aerospace applications. Corrosion prevention has also been accomplished using BMI coating. The addition inorganic materials like metal oxides can influence the properties as an inorganic–organic composite. Ferric chloride–bismaleimide (FeCl 3 –BMI)...
