Photoperiod and shelter have direct or indirect effects on phenotypic traits expression in different fish species. The present study was, therefore, intended to explore whether these light could influence some of African catfish larvae under laboratory condition.Newly hatched were stocked plastic aquaria (10L) at a rate 5 individuals/L reared for one month four treatments such as 24h (24L), 24 h dark (24D), 12h with PVC (12DL_PVC), without (12DL) conditions.A total 108 sampled analysis.The...
Habitat utilization and feeding biology of Himalayan Grey Langur (Semnopithecus entellus ajex) were studied from April, 2006 to 2007 in Machiara National Park, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Pakistan. The results showed that the winter season most preferred habitat langurs was moist temperate coniferous forests interspersed with deciduous trees, while summer they migrate into subalpine scrub at higher altitudes. Langurs folivorous habit, recorded as consuming more than 49 plant species (27 22 winter)...

This research aimed to examine the impact of diversity distributions, seasonal variations, and land use types on richness native small mammal communities in Ghamot National Park, Neelum Valley, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Pakistan. The study employed five different land-use various methods, including live traps indirect evidence, sample mammals during both summer winter seasons. compared population numbers species composition across sites seasons. The findings were based data from three sampling...
Gray langurs (Semnopithecus spp.) are leaf eating monkeys fragmentally distributed in northern hills of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).It was believed that different fragmented populations these might have experienced a genetic isolation or inbreeding. We assessed the level diversity langur using Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. We collected 86 samples (feces 64, hair 13, blood 5, tissues 4) from 5 geographic Pakistan (AJK) succeeded extraction 23...
Effective conservation and management of Asiatic black bear Ursus thibetanus requires the identification in-depth knowledge suitable habitats.Habitat suitability models (HSMs) have wide use in understanding niche requirements, hence prioritizing issues for threatened species. This study aimed to identify current range habitat Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJ&K) using maximum entropy model.Field surveys were conducted between 2015 2020 collect data direct indirect evidence.Maximum (Maxent) revealed an...
Biodiversity measures, species richness and evenness. Species means the number of present in designated area whereas evenness stands for relative abundance each species. Butterflies are very important economically. They feed on nectar from flowers by using proboscis. act as excellent bio indicator health natural ecosystem. The fauna study lacks comprehensive documentation hence there has been no previous assessment butterfly biodiversity. was conducted to estimate richness, evenness,...
Abstract We studied the distribution and population status of Cheer pheasant (Catreus wallichii) in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJ&K). Study was mainly conducted four localities Jhelum Valley (JV), Machiara National Park (MNP), Haveli Nar Sher Ali Khan (NSAK) from 2016-2020, for five breeding seasons. Population determined by call counts method. In total 105 pairs (210 birds) were estimated highest (134) being recorded valley followed MNP, While applying correction factor 158 birds recorded....
