This paper presents the developed risk management methodology and main results of a pilot project in Portuguese electric energy organization -EDP Distribution. Most risks identified have external technical sources, most are rated as medium high level. In future, it is expected that this can be used for similar projects gradual standardization on use achieved organization.

The aim of this article is to establish the convergence and error bounds for fully discrete solutions a class nonlinear equations reaction–diffusion nonlocal type with moving boundaries, using linearized Crank–Nicolson–Galerkin finite element method polynomial approximations any degree. A coordinate transformation which fixes boundaries used. Some numerical tests compare our Matlab code some existing methods are investigated. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this work, we study the convergence of finite element method when applied to following parabolic equation: $u_t = div (|u| ^ {\gamma (\mathbf{x})} \nabla u) + f (\mathbf{x}, t)$, $\mathbf{x}\in\Omega\subset R^{m}, t\in]0,T].$ Since problem may be degenerate type, utilize an approximate problem, regularized by introducing a parameter $\varepsilon $. We prove, under certain conditions on $ \gamma and $, that weak solution converges initial \varepsilon tends zero. Discrete solutions are...
Street light control and management has an important role in nowadays societies, providing comfort security to the citizens. Citizens demands more street lighting operators look for balance between citizen's demand affordable solutions. The Portuguese distribution system operator, EDP Distribuição (EDPD), acts widely under municipally concessions, as main responsible body Portugal. Smart IP is a partnership EDPD EFACEC provide reliable monitor national grid. This study presents architecture...

This paper resulted from an action-research undertaken on a Portuguese electric energy organization – EDP Distribution. The research aimed to develop, propose and implement risk management methodology integrate in the project (PM) practices of ongoing project. implemented allowed team initiate systematized through simple structure, easy apply, with degree complexity compatible effort that PM could initially engage. It is expected proposed signaled initiation (PRM) process standardization...
