The effects of lipid concentration and composition on the physicochemical properties, aerosol performance in vitro toxicity activity several rifampicin-loaded liposomes were investigated. To this purpose, six liposome formulations containing different amounts soy phosphatidylcholine hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, with without cholesterol oleic acid, prepared fully characterized. Uni- or oligo-lamellar, small (~100 nm), negatively charged (~60 mV) vesicles obtained. Lipid affected delivery...
Progesterone is a sex hormone which shows neuroprotective effects in different neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease, stroke, and Alzheimer's disease. However, the pharmacokinetic limitations associated with peripheral administration of this molecule highlight need for more efficient delivery approaches to increase brain progesterone levels. Since nose-to-brain mucoadhesive hydrogel nanoparticles non-invasive convenient strategy therapeutics central nervous system, work,...
Synopsis The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity selected essential oils ( Laurus nobilis , Eucalyptus globulus and Salvia officinalis ), both alone in combination, cosmetic preparations characterized by an increasing risk microbial contamination, i.e. O/W skin cream, a hydrogel non‐alcoholic hydrolyte. Their potential synergistic effect combination with usual preservatives at low concentrations (up 200‐fold less than usual) also investigated.
Abstract The synthesis and isolation of some O ‐acylisoureas are described. reaction between dicyclohexyl‐carbodiimide coumarin‐3‐carboxylic acids leads to coumarin‐dicyclohexylisourea derivatives, isolated as the main products, coumarin‐dicyclohexylurea derivatives byproducts.
The objective of this study was to develop positively charged nanoparticles based on trimethyl chitosan and sodium alginate, as drug delivery systems able interact with the sialic residues mucous membranes. Nanoparticles were prepared ionotropic gelation method, using tripolyphosphate cross-linking agent. Ten different nanoparticle formulations developed by varying concentration one component, while keeping constant two others, or ratio between three components. aim formulation determine...
