Direct observation of black holes is one the grand challenges in astronomy. If there are supercompact objects which possess unstable circular orbits photons, however, it may be difficult to distinguish them from by observing photons. As a model objects, we consider gravastar (gravitational-vacuum-star) was originally proposed Mazur and Mottola. For definiteness, adopt spherical thin-shell developed Visser Wiltshire, connects interior de Sitter geometry exterior Schwarzschild geometry. We...
Abstract We report the synthesis of block and alternating thiophene/phenylene co‐oligomers that is based either on Suzuki coupling reaction or Grignard reaction. These schemes enable us to obtain target compounds at reasonably high yields. The resulting materials have been fully characterized through solid‐state 13 C nmr Fourier‐transform ir as well 1 H nmr. Of these, are particularly useful in characterizing higher molecular weight, since those difficult dissolve organic solvents.
We construct static and spherically symmetric black hole solutions in the Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg (EEH) system which is considered as an effective action of a superstring theory. electrically charged, magnetically charged dyon solutions. can solve analytically for case. find that they have some remarkable properties about causality thermodynamics depending on coupling constant EH theory $a$ $b$, though central singularity Schwarzschild hole.
During blood coagulation alpha 2-plasmin inhibitor (alpha 2PI) is cross-linked with fibrin by an activated fibrin-stabilizing factor (FSFa) plasma transglutaminase, XIII). When 2PI was treated FSFa in the absence of acceptor amino groups, lost more than 90% its capacity to be because hydrolysis gamma-carboxamides FSFa-susceptible glutamine residues. Chemical modifications inhibitor's lysine epsilon-amino groups did not affect cross-linking fibrin, whereas same chemical fibrinogen resulted a...
Nick and Al join forces: The nickel-catalyzed [3+2] cycloaddition between the title compounds gives cyclopentene derivatives in presence of Me2AlCl. organoaluminum reagent activates carbonyl group cyclopropyl ketone through coordination oxygen atom to aluminum, stabilizes reaction intermediate by chloride nickel. cod=1,5-cyclooctadiene, THF=tetrahydrofuran.
Abstract We report the synthesis of phenyl‐capped oligothiophenes via improved synthetic schemes. Asymmetric dialkyl disulfides with a para-substituted azobenzene (i.e., 4-substituted 4'-(12-(dodecyldithio)dodecyloxy)azobenzenes) produced photoresponsive self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold (111) surfaces. Infrared reflection absorption (IR-RA) spectroscopy and ultraviolet (UV) visible (vis) light gave information the molecular orientational order of adsorbates in SAMs. The photoreactivity was investigated using dynamic contact-angle measurements Wilhelmy-type surface balance....

Organolithium reagents are often too unstable to use due being highly reactive. This limits their application in organic synthesis. review highlights our approach various synthetic reactions mediated by organolithium based on flash chemistry conducted flow reactors, especially utilizing space-integration of the reactions. The high reactivity organolithiums renders them use, thereby limiting approaches for Flash
A high-performance micro-patterned polarizing element has successfully been fabricated by in-plane anisotropic alignment of a chromonic lyotropic liquid crystal. Although the fabrication method is quite simple, orientational order obtained high enough for practical usage. The Figure shows microscopy image two crossed elements.

Abstract Anthracene-1- or 2-sulfonic and 2-carboxylic acids were found to form one host-two guest inclusion complexes with γ-cyclodextrin in aqueous solutions. The complex formation greatly enhanced the photodimerization of these anthracenes.
The characterization of single-molecule structures could provide significant insights into the operation mechanisms functional devices. Structural transformation via isomerization has been extensively employed to implement device functionalities. Although identification recently achieved using near-field spectroscopy, discrimination between isomeric forms remains challenging. Further, structure–function relationship at scale unclear. Herein, we report observation spiropyran in a junction...

We reconsider spherically symmetric black hole solutions in Einstein-Aether theory with the condition that this has identical parametrized post-Newtonian parameters as those for general relativity, which is main difference from previous research.
