Abstract We report the synthesis of block and alternating thiophene/phenylene co‐oligomers that is based either on Suzuki coupling reaction or Grignard reaction. These schemes enable us to obtain target compounds at reasonably high yields. The resulting materials have been fully characterized through solid‐state 13 C nmr Fourier‐transform ir as well 1 H nmr. Of these, are particularly useful in characterizing higher molecular weight, since those difficult dissolve organic solvents.
