This paper explores the first attempt at determining levels of atmospheric heavy metal contamination in Zonguldak province through analysis moss (Hypnum cupressiforme Hedw.). This study presents the bryophyte flora of western part Küre Mountains, situated in A2 square grid system adopted by Henderson, and entirely within Euro-Siberian phytogeographic region. The bryophyte flora of Acarlar Lake (Sakarya-Karasu), Karacabey Floodplain Forests (Bursa) and Samanlı Mountains (Sakarya-Akyazı) was studied in Turkey between 2016 2017. In this study, Sphagnum palustre L. Bog-moss (SPM) was used as a reusable and economical biomaterial for the removal of methylene blue (MB).
