This work aimed to obtain thermoplastic starch composites (TPS) derived from and fibers of babassu coconut. The was prepared with 40% plasticizer (glycerol). underwent chemical treatment alkalinization bleaching. SEM images infrared spectra showed that wax, lignin, hemicellulose were removed the fiber surface. TPS a smooth uniform surface, whereas TPSWF composite (washed fiber) voids between TPS. phenomenon not observed in TPSAF (alkalized TPSBF (bleached fiber). tensile strength elastic...

Th e aim of this paper is to investigate the influence nano -structures, mostly intercalated form, on sandwich composites under impact loadings. To achieve such goal, a set plates made fiberglass/nano -modified epoxy face sheets and polystyrene foams was prepared. The core 25 mm thick were eight layers woven fabric glass fibers ( 0.8 thickness). system bisphenol A resin an amine ha rdener, i.e. RemLam M HY956, from Hunstman Inc. fiber volume fraction used around 65%, while nanoclay content...
