(2<i>S</i>)-2-[(Phenylsulfinyl)methyl]pyrrolidine, derived from l-proline, has been demonstrated as an efficient organocatalyst for the asymmetric Michael addition of cyclohexanone and cyclopentanone to β-nitrostyrenes. This pyrrolidine-based catalyst bearing a sulfoxide moiety was used synthesize various γ-nitro carbonyl compounds in high yield (up 97%) with excellent stereoselectivity >99:1 dr >99% ee) without use any additive.

Carbon–carbon and carbon–heteroatom bond construction through oxidative carbon–hydrogen activation has attracted much attention in synthetic organic chemistry. Recently, a variety of reactions inactivated cyclic ethers (THF, THP dioxane) acyclic with various coupling partners have been reported. Despite the absence phenyl rings high oxidation potentials, these worked efficiently under conditions. This review focusses on recent reports C–C C–heteroatom formation cross dehydrogenative coupling.

In recent years, reactions of inexpensive and easily available formamides, benzaldehydes cycloalkanes with various coupling partners have made an impact in the field cross dehydrogenative coupling. Even absence a benzylic C–H site or heteroatom at α‐position, these substrates react efficiently under oxidative conditions. This review article highlights advances for C–C C–heteroatom bond formation above substrates.

When considering the effect of commercialization on media performance, journalistic content and role play in providing information a democratic society. There is always comparison to be made between current commercialized system an alternative politically controlled mostly India. Commercialization has resulted homogenization news, cementing capitalist society, reduction quality sensationalizing or trivializing news depoliticizing news. debate as whether these factors combine mean damaged...

Direct cross-coupling between N-methyltetrahydroisoquinolines and alkynes using CuI-DEAD is presented. It affords the regioselective C-1-alkynylated products in good yield. This regioselectivity contrast to results reported earlier reaction of N,N-dimethylbenzyl amine where N-methyl alkynylated product was formed exclusively or predominantly. The C-1-substituted propargylic isoquinolines were easily reduced phenethylisoquinolines with Pd/C. sequence provides a short route synthesize...

A simple protocol for the C1 arylation of tetrahydroisoquinolines with aryl Grignard reagents via diethyl azodicarboxylate (DEAD) mediated oxidative C–H activation under metal-free conditions has been developed. The target compounds, including some naturally occurring alkaloids, were obtained in moderate to good yields.

Director's cut: The poor directing ability of the dimethylamino group in directed ortho metalation is altered by complexation to BF3, which makes it more strongly activating than methoxy and chloro groups. DFT calculations simplified lithiated intermediates reveal a small role inductive effect, but distinctive F⋅⋅⋅Li interaction that leads F–Li distance remarkably similar C–Li distance.
