One-year old sweet almond (Prunus dulcis) seedlings were submitted to four levels of salt stress induced by NaCl, namely 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, and 1.0 S m-1. Effects on a range chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence parameters (Chl FPs) Chl contents investigated in order establish an eco-physiological characterization P. dulcis salinity. Salt promoted increase F0, Fs, F0/Fm decrease Fm, F'm, Fv/Fm, qP, ΔF/F'm, Fv/F0, UQF(rel), almost all yields (FY) FPs due its adverse effect activity photosystem 2. No...

Due to anthropogenic influences, solar UV-B irradiance at the earth's surface is increasing. To determine effects of enhanced radiation on photosynthetic characteristics Prunus dulcis, two-year-old seedlings species were submitted four levels stress, namely 0 (UV-Bc), 4.42 (UV-B1), 7.32 (UV-B2) and 9.36 (UV-B3) kJ m-2 d-1. Effects stress a range chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence parameters (FPs), Chl contents gas-exchange investigated. promoted an increase in minimal dark-adapted state (F0)...

The effects of drought stress induced by polyethylene glycol, PEG (molecular mass 6000) on some ecophysiological characteristics two wild pistachio species, Mastic and Khinjuk (P. mutica P. khinjuk) selected as root stocks for production edible trees vera) in Iran Turkey, were studied. Net photosynthetic rate (PN), stomatal conductance (gs), chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence parameters, leaf water potential (Ψ1), osmotic (Ψπ), adjustment (ΔΨπ), Chl a b measured. All parameters influenced...

Leaf water potential, leaf osmotic chlorophyll a and b contents, stomatal conductance, net photosynthetic rate, use efficiency were determined in two pistachio species (Pistacia khinjuk L. P. mutica L.) grown under drought stress induced by combination of NaCl polyethylene glycol 6000. A decrease values for all mentioned variables was observed as the potential nutrient solution (Ψs) decreased. The adjustment (ΔΨπ) increased decreasing Ψs. Thus had higher tolerance than mutica.

In this study, net photosynthesis rate (PN), stomatal conductance (gs), leaf water potential (Ψl), osmotic (Ψπ) and adjustment (ΔΨπ) of Pistacia khinjuk L. P. mutica were investigated at different levels drought stress induced by a combination salt (NaCl) Polyethylene Glycol 6000. Except for adjustment, all variables measured decreased as increased. An increasing trend was observed Results showed that had higher tolerance than mutica.

Smirnovia iranica, a native valuable woody species from Fabaceae, is an adaptable plant of central sandy areas Iran. Changes in chlorophyll fluorescence and photosynthetic pigments characteristics were analyzed the course phenological stages including vegetative, flowering, seed ripening, falling stages, respectively (VS, FS, SRS, SFS). The results obtained analysis variance indicated that there was significant difference among different phonological S. iranica terms mentioned...

The aim of this study is to evaluate the  effects water deficit stress on chlorophyll fluorescence (CF) characteristics photosystem II (PSII) and pigment contents in two rootstock seedlings (Pistacia atlantica L. P. khinjuk L.). Three levels soil potential (Ψs) was used, including WWD (-0.05 MPa), MWD (-0.7 MPa) SWD (-1.5 MPa). It found that increased the minimal (F0), quantum yield baseline (F0/Fm) decreased maximal (Fm) maximum PSII photochemistry (Fv/Fm) parameters dark adapted leaves. In...

Abstract Proper management of natural ecosystems is not possible without the knowledge health status its components. Vegetation, as main component ecosystem, plays an important role in health. One key determinants vegetation resilience face environmental disorders. This research was conducted parts Namakzar-e Khaf watershed Northeast South Khorasan Province with aim quantifying vegetative on behalf ecosystem response to long-term precipitation changes. First, annual standardization performed...

Three leaf maturity indices were defined as young, mature and senescence leaves. The effect of phenophase resulted in a significant alteration photosynthetic pigments, whereas site position had no on them. FPC values significantly increased along development. TSP showed sharp descending trend the final phase elasticity. On contrary, highest TSS value was observed stage Such for starch content. results revealed that decreased elevation rise.
