Tenorite CuO thin films have been synthesized via spray pyrolysis of aqueous copper(II) chloride solution followed by heat-treatment, exhibited a photocurrent density 24 mA cm−2 at 0.25 V vs. RHE under AM 1.5G solar irradiation in alkaline electrolyte. This large has attributed to drift assisted transport photo-generated electrons across the semiconductor/electrolyte interface annealed films. The tendency photo-corrosion from surface reduced substantially without any extra protective layer,...
Mercurochrome-sensitized nanostructured CuO grown directly on Cu has been used as efficient photocathode in photoelectrochemical cell. The photocurrent density of the sensitized electrode is found to enhance from −1 mA/cm2 (unsensitized) −2.2 (dye for 24 h) at 0 V vs RHE under AM1.5G artificial solar illumination aqueous 0.5 M Na2SO4 solution. photoluminescence spectra demonstrated a strong absorption 465 nm by mercurochrome. Subsequent transfer photoexcited electrons conduction band...
In this work, we have deposited Cu2O film on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) substrate by electrodeposition. Pure CuO phase has been obtained annealing the electrodeposited at optimized temperature (500°C) for two hours in air. Copper(I) films showed good photo response with a current density of 0.54mA/cm2 0 V vs RHE. It is evident from UV-Visible spectroscopic analysis that bandgap Cu(I) and Cu(II) oxides differs each other resulting significant change these phases, observed PEC study....
Street lighting is among the major electrical loads for any corporation, whether maintaining a small campus or streets of city. Lighting can account 10 to 38% total energy bill in typical cities worldwide. Currently consumes 18% power generated India, which accounts nearly 59, 000 MW load. Major chunk municipal corporation's budget spent paying electricity streetlights across India. Light emitting diodes (LEDs) have lately emerged as an attractive proposition replacing conventional mercury...
We present the studies on structural properties of monolayer Bidisperse silica (SiO2) nanoparticles (BDS) Silicon (Si-100) substrate using spin coating technique. The nanoparticle was synthesised by modified sol-gel process. Nanoparticles are generally assembled in non-close/close-packed (CPM) form. CPM form is obtained depositing colloidal suspension onto silicon complex techniques. Here we report an effective method for forming a bidisperse three step samples were prepared mixing...
In the present work, we report a versatile and facile method to develop Si-based negative material for Li-ion batteries. Silicon nanoparticles have been synthesised from cost-effective silica magnesium powder using hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction profile confirms presence of Si nano-crystals. FE-SEM micrographs show uniform decoration silicon on CNT in actual electrode. This unique structure Si/CNT nano-networks enhances electronic conductivity accommodate large volume change...
