본 연구는 노인 대상 정보화 교육이 노인이 온라인상에서 형성하는 사회관계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 서울시 소재 노인복지관과 종합복지관에서 교육(컴퓨터반, 인터넷반, 스마트폰반)을 받는 60세 이상 114명을 실험집단으로 하고, 교육을 받은 경험이 없는 30명을 통제집단으로 하여 프로그램 실시 전후를 비교분석하였다. 온라인 사회관계의 측정을 위해서는 사회자본척도(결속형과 가교형)를 사용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 실험집단의 결속형 사회관계는 연대능력영역을 제외한 모든 하위 영역에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으나 통제집단에서는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 가교형 하위영역에서 연구결과 교육은 노인의 사회관계(결속형, 확장시켰으며, 사회관계 형성과 확장 및 사회참여를 촉진하기 위해 필요함을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 Talyor(2012)의 스트레스-대응 과정 모델을 적용하여 노인 암환자의 삶의 질과 그 영향 요인을 만성질환자 및 중년 암환자 집단과 각각 비교하여 이해하고자 시도되었다. 암환자 197명, 351명, 307명을 대상으로 스트레스 대응자원인 낙관성, 가족지 지, 친구지지, 의사지지, 생활 스트레스, 경제적 상황과 질에 대한 자료를 수집하였다. 암환 자의 신체건강 관련 질은 세 집단 중 가장 열악하였고, 정신건강 만성질환 자에 비해 더 낮았으며, 의사지지를 제외한 대응자원이 정신건강 관련 영향을 미쳤다. 대응자원과 질의 영향 관계는 암환자와 만성 질환자, 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 연구결과를 통해 의료 복지차원에서 낙관성 향상 프로그램의 개발, 친구와의 교제 권장, 지원의 확충, 스트레스 경감을 위한 재가복지서비스와 가족상담의 확대 등을 제안하였다.
