Conserving earth's biodiversity for future generations is a fundamental global task, where automated recognition of pollen species by means computer vision represents highly prioritized issue. This work focuses on analysis and classification stages. The morphological details the contour are proposed as grains discriminative features. approach has been developed robust identification based an HMM kernel. A Vector Support Machine was used classifier. principal contribution in this work, terms...

This work presents a novel communications technology named Thermal Camera Communication (TCC), which is analogous to Optical (OCC). Thermographic cameras and Peltier cells are proposed as receiver transmitter, respectively, changing completely their usual field of application. Furthermore, comprehensive characterization the Peltier–Thermal camera pair carried out, presenting bandwidth, achievable data rate under On-Off-Keying (OOK) modulation, noise characteristics, energy efficiency. A...

In a time when personal data circulates constantly between devices and within the cloud, biometric security systems represents one of most viable solutions. A relatively new modality based on individual's Electroencephalogram (EEG) is starting now to gain popularity among researchers. Its relevance relay mainly its prospects high robustness against intruders proliferation consumer EEG devices. this work we propose use real cepstrums as descriptors subject traits EEG. When evaluated with each...

The continuous development of thermographic technology has led to the overall improvement instruments used in medicine, surveillance, or military systems. However, imaging cameras still have a high cost compared other alternatives on market, such as visible light and much lower spatial resolution. Super-resolution is technique that improves visual quality an image through software processing. This work studies three neural networks architectures based deep learning capable performing...

Recently, hyper-spectral facial image capturing techniques have opened a new door for creating innovative aiming to improve these systems features. In our work, we developed verification approach based on Principal Component Analysis, and doing channel fusion (data fusion), in particular 5, 13, 14, 16, 24, 33, 34 channels, reaching an Equal Error Rate of 97.37%; showing good behavior the kind images.
