We investigated the effect of interleukin-13 (IL-13) on production IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra) and proinflammatory cytokines by human alveolar macrophages (AM). AM were obtained bronchoalveolar lavage from healthy donors. The IL-1ra cytokines, such as beta, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), quantitated enzyme immunoassays. spontaneously produced IL-1ra, this was significantly augmented IL-13. On other hand, IL-13 alone did not affect freshly isolated AM. Upon stimulation...

Part 1. Findings in Normal Subjects. Two types of rotatory examination, cupulometry and threshold-latency method, were performed normal values obtained with regard to the duration post-rotatory nystagmus, latency threshold per-rotatory nystagmus. Nystagmus was observed behind Frenzel's spectacles. Fifty "apparently normal" test-subjects (among them, seven ballet-dancers) examined this study. Rotatory stimulation given by means an electrically driven rotating chamber which is constructed so...
