A bstract We study the torus partition functions of free bosonic CFTs in two dimensions. Integrating over Narain moduli defines an ensemble-averaged CFT. calculate averaged function and show that it can be reinterpreted as a sum topologies three This result leads us to conjecture CFT dimensions is holographically dual exotic theory three-dimensional gravity with U(1) c × symmetry composite boundary graviton. We study stress tensor correlation functions in four-dimensional conformal field theories with large N and a sparse spectrum. Theories this class are expected to have local holographic duals, so effective theory anti-de Sitter suggests that the sector should exhibit universal, gravity-like behavior. At linearized level, hallmark of locality emergent geometry is three-point 〈T T 〉, normally specified by three constants, approach universal structure controlled single parameter as gap higher...

In this note we show that the recent conjecture proposed by Cachazo and Strominger holds at tree level in arbitrary dimensions. A bstract The crossing equations of a conformal field theory can be systematically truncated to finite, closed system polynomial equations. In certain cases, solutions the place strict bounds on space all unitary CFTs. We describe conditions under which this holds, and use results develop fast algorithm for modular bootstrap in 2d CFT. then apply it compute spectral gaps very high precision, find scaling dimensions over thousand operators, extend numerical regime large central charge,...

A bstract According to common lore, massive elementary higher spin particles lead inconsistencies when coupled gravity. However, this scenario was not completely ruled out by previous arguments. In paper, we show that in a theory where the low energy dynamics of gravitons are governed Einstein-Hilbert action, any finite number with more than two cannot interact gravitons, even classically, way preserves causality. This is achieved flat spacetime studying eikonal scattering three dimensions....

We derive constraints on two-dimensional conformal field theories with higher spin symmetry due to unitarity, modular invariance, and causality. focus CFTs $\mathcal{W}_N$ in the "irrational" regime, where $c>N-1$ have an infinite number of higher-spin primaries. The most powerful come from positivity Kac matrix, which (unlike Virasoro case) is non-trivial even when $c>N-1$. This places a lower bound dimension any non-vacuum primary state, linear central charge. At large $c$, this implies...
