This paper investigates the impact of stock liquidity on firm value in time COVID-19 pandemic. Using data from A-share listed companies China, we calculate Cumulative Abnormal Returns through event study method and by Amihud illiquidity. We find that significant negative relationships between exist first three days outbreak, while positive following days. also these are more severely impacted regions, small companies, non-state-owned enterprises.

Due to the increasing linkage of China and US stock markets today, we constructed a TVP-VAR model study dynamic spillover effects between volatility China’s market crash risk. We found are constantly strengthening risk: when increases, risk increases. In addition, gradual improvement financial openness in China, short-term capital outflow from depreciation RMB exchange rate will increase And, impacts more significant.
