We present the case of a man in his 70s who had suffered two separate frontal lobe haemorrhages context using dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) to manage low mood. The known pathophysiology DMSO renders it likely causative agent recurrent intracerebral haemorrhages. This highlights need for clinicians robustly enquire about patient’s use over-the-counter medications, non-prescribed supplements and other substances, as part history.
