FBW7 functions as a tumor suppressor by targeting oncoproteins for degradation. Our previous study found was low expressed in pancreatic cancer due to sustained activation of Ras-Raf-MEK-ERK pathway, which destabilized phosphorylating at Thr205. MicroPET/CT imaging results revealed that substantially decreased 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake xenograft tumors. Mechanistically, inhibited glucose metabolism via c-Myc/TXNIP axis. But these studies, we observed down-regulated genes were widely...

The epigenetic factor protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) has been reported to play vital roles in a wide range of cellular processes, such as gene transcription, genomic organization, differentiation and cell cycle control. However, its role pancreatic cancer remains unclear. Our study aimed investigate the PRMT5 prognosis progression explore underlying molecular mechanism.Real-time PCR, immunohistochemistry analysis dataset from Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) were performed expression...

Abstract Background There is no evidence supporting the feasibility of laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) compared to open pancreatoduodenectomy (OPD) following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods The clinical data consecutive patients with borderline resectable PDAC who received NACT and underwent either LPD or OPD between January 2020 December 2022 at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center was prospectively collected retrospectively...

Patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma have much worse prognoses, and effort has been directed toward understanding the molecular biological aspects of this disease. Accumulated evidence suggests that constitutive activation Wnt/β-catenin signalling contributes to oncogenesis progression cancer. Transcription factor 7-like2/transcription 4 (TCF7L2/TCF4), a β-catenin transcriptional partner, plays vital role in pathway. In present study, we investigated clinicopathological...

Accumulated evidence suggests that Pin1 contributes to oncogenesis of diverse cancers. However, the underlying mechanism oncogenic function in PDAC requires further exploration.IHC was performed using tissues. Western blot, PCR, immunofluorescence and transwell were cell lines. GSEA applied for possible downstream pathways. ChIP assay dual luciferase used assessment transcriptional activity. Both IL-18 levels are increased primary tissues their positively correlated. High expression is a...

Abstract Objectives To investigate the roles of homeodomain‐interacting protein kinase (HIPK) family proteins in pancreatic cancer prognosis and possible molecular mechanism. Materials Methods The expression HIPK genes their were analysed by using Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). HIPK2 proliferation glycolysis tested overexpression cells, followed cell assay, glucose uptake analysis Seahorse extracellular flux analysis. mechanism action was explored examining its effect on ERK/cMyc axis. Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) is a key enzyme associated with the salvage of methionine and adenine that deficient in 20% to 30% pancreatic cancer. Our previous study revealed MTAP deficiency indicates poor prognosis for patients ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). In this study, bioinformatics analysis The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data indicated PDACs display signature elevated glycolysis. Metabolomics studies showed deletion-mediated metabolic reprogramming enhanced glycolysis de...

Abstract Tubeimoside 1, one of the new triterpenoid saponins from bulb Bolbostemma paniculatum (Maxim) Franquet, had an anti‐inflammatory effect on mouse ear edema induced by arachidonic acid and 12‐O‐tetradecanoylphorbol‐13‐acetate (TPA). Furthermore, a potent anti‐tumorigenic tubeimoside I was observed in 2‐stage carcinogenesis skin after oral administration as well topical application. Thus, appears to be promising agent for cancer chemoprevention.
