The $R$${}_{2}$PdSi${}_{3}$ intermetallic compounds have been reported to crystallize in a hexagonal AlB${}_{2}$-derived structure, with the rare earth atoms on Al sites and Pd Si randomly distributed B sites. However, intricate magnetic properties observed series of always suggested complications assumed structure. To clarify situation, x-ray neutron diffraction measurements were performed heavy $R=\text{Gd}$, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, which revealed existence crystallographic superstructure....

We present results of neutron-diffraction experiments on a ${\text{Ho}}_{2}{\text{PdSi}}_{3}$ single crystal in the magnetically ordered state at $T=1.5\text{ }\text{K}$ for magnetic fields applied easy $(0,0,L)$ direction. Moderate less than 0.8 T are sufficient to wipe out antiferromagnetic order basal plane ${\text{AlB}}_{2}$-type hexagonal lattice structure. Concurrently strong reflections along direction develop with increasing that closely related nuclear superstructure found all...

Abstract Nd 2 PdSi 3 single crystals were grown by a vertical floating zone method with radiation heating at traveling rate of mm/h. The compound exhibits congruent melting behavior liquidus temperature about 1790 °C. actual crystal composition (35.3 ± 0.5) at.% Nd, (16.2 Pd, and (48.5 Si is slightly depleted in Pd respect to the nominal stoichiometry. Therefore, gradual accumulation these elements led decrease operating during growth process. Single crystalline samples exhibit large...

Due to the interplay between RKKY exchange interaction, crystalline-electric field (CEF) effects and geometric frustration due AlB2-derived hexagonal crystal structure, study of R2PdSi3 (R = rare earth) has been found be a challenging in earth magnetism. In this contribution we present results neutron diffraction experiments on Ho2PdSi3 single magnetically ordered state at T 1.6 K. The compound orders antiferromagnetically basal plane with propagation vector τ (1/7-δ, 2δ, 0) where δ ∼ 0.01...

The series R2PdSi3 (R = heavy rare earth) has been found to exhibit rich magnetic phase diagrams with a large variety of states. This complex behavior results from the interplay between RKKY interaction, magneto-crystalline anisotropy based on crystalline-electric field (CEF) effects and geometric frustration due AlB2 derived hexagonal crystal structure. Within Er2PdSi3 compound in zero simple CEF excitation spectrum just one strong transition at 3.5 meV ground state first excited state....

<title>Abstract</title> In this paper, we report the electronic transport and room-temperature ferromagnetism with Curie temperature ~ 330 K in 25-nm NiAs-type CrTe thin films epitaxially grown on SrTiO3 (111) substrates using molecular beam epitaxy. Upon cooling from 350 K, film undergoes paramagnetic-to-ferromagnetic (PM-to-FM) ferromagnetic-to-antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase transitions. ground state (2 K), spins basically form antiferromagnetic ordering between Cr1 Cr2 layers,...

The magnetic phase diagrams of hexagonal R2PdSi3 compounds have been found to feature an apparent similar when the field is applied along respective easy axes. To elucidate this, neutron diffraction on single crystalline Tb2PdSi3 and Ho2PdSi3 in fields was performed. These two different structures zero field. We simulate a relaxation process of polaron in polymer after photo excitation, and new state is realized by means proper excitation. The original lattice configuration the splits into two symmetrical peaks, consequently double-well potential formed, where wavefunctions electron localized these wells are entangled. Thus, this provides method to generate Schrödinger cat state. According dynamical configuration, time splitting about 150 fs.
