Abstract As the most abundant animals on earth, nematodes are a dominant component of soil community. They play critical roles in regulating biogeochemical cycles and vegetation dynamics within across landscapes an indicator biological activity. Here, we present comprehensive global dataset nematode abundance functional group composition. This includes 6,825 georeferenced samples from all continents biomes. For geospatial mapping purposes these aggregated into 1,933 unique 1-km pixels, each...

Abstract Size‐structured food webs form integrated trophic systems where energy is channeled from small to large consumers. Empirical evidence suggests that size structure prevails in aquatic ecosystems, whereas terrestrial position largely independent of body size. Compartmentalization channeling according classes consumers was suggested as a mechanism underpins functioning and stability including those belowground, but their has not been empirically assessed across the whole spectrum. Here...

Focusing on nematodes and their well-developed indices of community, ecosystem structure function, we investigated the effects conversion rainforest into rubber oil palm plantations in Sumatra, Indonesia. Land use did not affect total abundance litter- soil-dwelling nematodes, neither riparian nor well-drained sites. However, nematode community differed from communities plantations, with differences litter being more pronounced compared to soil. In litter, fungivores short generation time...

The processes of matter and energy metabolism in forest ecosystems are largely dependent on the activity complex invertebrates associated with litter soil. To quantify effect harvesting soil fauna, we used a meta-analysis to examine database 720 responses collected from 52 publications boreal temperate forests. Overall, was found decrease abundance fauna while not affecting its richness. However, reaction differed significantly among taxonomic groups, negative, neutral, positive effects...

Our study is based on oribatid mite materials collected from the Dipterocarpus alatus, Haldina cardifolia and Ochrocarpos siamensis tree species in Cat Tien National Park, southern Vietnam. A list of identified taxa includes 44 species/subspecies 31 genera 22 families. Of these, seven are recorded for first time Vietnam, two Oriental region. Sixteen mites were boles, 36 species, crowns. The Jaccard index, measuring faunistic similarity, was equal to 0.18 communities both zones.

An enhanced method of microclonal propagation grain legume seeds, including the stages sterilization explants legumes (peas, vetch, beans, lentils, chickpeas) their introduction into in vitro conditions, actual and rooting regenerants is presented article. Methods for culturing isolated plant organs, tissues cells emerged more than half a century ago have been constantly improved since then. Work this direction has led to certain achievements understanding process development.
