We studied the doping of a Bi2Te3 single crystal using angle-resolved photoemission and ab initio electronic structure calculations. find that at surface, typical bulk p-type conductivity is transformed to n-type. The dopants from VIII B column (Fe, Ru, Os) give rise shift Dirac cone surface in direction valence band maximum minimum. rearrangement caused by linked pinning Fermi level gap, its comparison with experimental data indicates substitute Bi atoms rather than they occupy interstitial...
Surface analysis was used to study the dynamics of martensitic transformation on macro- and mesoscopic scales. The chemical state, morphology, magnetic surface structure were monitored at particular stages phase transition. At room temperature, Ni49.7Mn29.1Ga21.2 (100) single crystal exhibited macroscopic a/c twinning a corresponding domain characterized by magnetization vector in out plane. Induced radiation heating, from martensite austenite takes place separately bulk. Its depend history...
Abstract Fe and Si films were tested as corrosion protection layers for Zr in nuclear industry applications. Surface chemistry of dependence on the preparation conditions layout was complexly investigated by various spectroscopic microscopic techniques. Corrosion experiments carried out autoclave with in-situ Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy. A clean surface is characteristic disposition to disorder rough morphology demonstrated facets, steps or terraces. Upon deposition atoms amounts...
The arrangement of B atoms in a doped Si( 111)-( √ 3 × 3)R30 • :B system was studied using near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS).Boron were deposited via segregation from the bulk by flashing sample repeatedly. The positions are determined comparing measured polarized (angle-dependent) NEXAFS spectra with calculated for various structural models based on ab-initio total energy calculations. It is found that most boron located sub-surface L c 1 positions, beneath Si atom.However,...
