Abstract The use of natural substances derived from traditional Chinese medicine and plants as safe radiosensitizing adjuvants is a new trend for cancer radiotherapy. Ganoderma lucidum has been used with history more than 2000 years. Ganoderic acid T (GAT) typical triterpene G. lucidum, which strong cytotoxicity to cells, but whether it radiation sensitization effect not explored. In this work, we treated the HeLa cells different concentrations GAT before exposure gamma-ray investigated its...

A novel enhanced triterpenes fermentation production process by Ganoderma lucidum G0119 with the addition of oleic acid in medium has been developed and optimized. All six exogenous additives tested were found to exhibit stimulatory effect on mycelial growth biosynthesis G. . The results show that had significant role promoting production. optimal concentration time determined be 30 mL/L 0 h, respectively. Furthermore, three factors influencing identified as glucose, magnesium sulfate...

Ganoderma lucidum mycelia are rich in active substances such as triterpenoids and sterols. However, reports on the development of effective submerged fermentation processes lacking resulting total triterpene sterol yield is still quite low. In this study, a new G. strain G0017 mycelium isolated by screening was studied 3-L fermenter to investigate effect aeration rate liquid production By fitting specific mycelial growth triterpenoid model, an multistage control process for developed. This...

Kinetic models and temperature control strategy were established to reflect the effect of (22 °C-30 °C) on flavonoid production Phellinus baumii (P. baumii) in 6-L fermentor. A modified Logistic equation, Hinshelwood model, Luedeking Piret equation used describe mycelial growth product formation. The influence estimated kinetic parameters was further studied by regression analysis. Based analysis, new proposed. Briefly, at 0-43 H, decreasing (30 °C-28 can shorten lag phase growth, 43-90...

Ganoderic acids (GAs) are major functional components of Ganoderma lucidum . The study aimed to breed a new G. strain with increased contents individual GAs. Two mating-compatible monokaryotic strains, 260125 and 260124, were successfully isolated from the dikaryotic CGMCC 5.0026 via protoplast formation regeneration. Vitreoscilla hemoglobin gene ( vgb ) squalene synthase sqs overexpressed in 260124 strain, respectively. Mating between overexpressing resulted hybrid sqs-vgb. maximum...

Triterpenes are important anticancer agents produced by batch submerged liquid fermentation, with the medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum ACCC G0119, which was investigated under various dissolved oxygen levels varying agitation speeds. Three kinetic parameters were analyzed: specific mycelial growth rate (μsmg), glucose consumption (qsgc), and triterpene production (qstp). High concentration, yield, productivity of triterpenes achieved developing a simple reproducible two-stage speed...

The mushroom today known as Ganoderma lingzhi has been used for centuries in the countries of Eastern Asia a very important medicinal mushroom. It prefers growing on rotten wood broadleaf trees and is mainly distributed tropics subtropics. Its relative G. lucidum occurs naturally almost all Earth, it colonizes mostly oak beech Central Europe. are similar species.
