Abstract The Basidiomycota constitutes a major phylum of the kingdom Fungi and is second in species numbers to Ascomycota. present work provides an overview all validly published, currently used basidiomycete genera date single document. An outline provided, which includes 1928 names, with 1263 synonyms, are distributed 241 families, 68 orders, 18 classes four subphyla. We provide brief notes for each accepted genus including information on classification, number species, type life mode,...
The investigation and utilization of medicinal fungi in China has received considerable attention recent years. However, information on is scattered throughout the literature, many nomenclatural inconsistencies have been found Chinese reports. publications critically checked; as a result, 540 mushrooms from were enumerated present checklist. All names checked or revised accordance with contemporary taxonomy latest version International Code Botanical Nomenclature (Vienna Code). "out-of-date"...
Summary Wood‐decaying fungi on living trees in China were surveyed over the last 12 years. In all, 102 potentially pathogenic Basidiomycetes found natural forests, forest plantations, parks and gardens, among them 20 species recorded for first time China. The host(s), occurrence, type of damage, decay distribution each are given. Most these wood‐destroying polypores Aphyllophorales, majority temperate boreal forests. Of all detected, 88 known to cause white rot, 14 brown rot; 25 considered...
Extensive surveys on wood-rotting fungi were recently carried out in Hainan Province, southern China. Around 2500 specimens of poroid wood-inhabiting collected during ten field trips, and 235 polypores identified. Four species, Grammothelopsis asiatica Y.C. Dai & B.K. Cui, Inonotus latemarginatus Dai, Perenniporia hattorii Cui Wrightoporia austrosinensis are described illustrated as new. Of the 99 found from province for first time.
