In the present study, baseline toxicity of insecticides was studied against third instar grubs Anomala lineatopennis (Blanchard) (Scarabaeidae: Coleoptera) by topical application method under laboratory conditions using acetone as solvent. Results revealed chlorantraniliprole to be most toxic with LD50 value 0.39 μg/ grub, followed clothianidin, bifenthrin, thiamethoxam, imidacloprid, chlorpyriphos and carbofuran.
