G nerve agents are colorless, odorless, and lethal chemical warfare (CWAs). The threat of CWAs, which cause critical damage to humans, continues exist, e.g., in or terrorist attacks. Therefore, it is important be able detect these rapidly with a high degree sensitivity. In this study, surface acoustic wave (SAW) array device three SAW sensors coated different sensing materials one uncoated sensor was tested determine the most suitable material for detection related simulants. used were...

Nanostructured materials synthesized by the hydrothermal and thermal reduction process were tested to detect dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP) as a simulant for chemical warfare agents. Manganese oxide nitrogen-doped graphene with polypyrrole (MnO2@NGO/PPy) exhibited sensitivity of 51 Hz 25 ppm DMMP showed selectivity 1.26 Hz/ppm. Nitrogen-doped multi-walled carbon nanotube (N-MWCNT) demonstrated good linearity correlation coefficient 0.997. A comparison between surface acoustic wave quartz...

Recently, efforts have been made to adapt surface acoustic waves (SAWs) for use in chemical sensors detection of warfare agents (CWAs). In this study, a four-channel real-time CWA system was constructed using four 250-MHz SAW sensors. Each consists three different and one reference sensor. The sensor compensates frequency variations according humidity temperature conditions. Signals from the can be checked on PC-based graphical user interface without additional measuring equipment. To...

Charging of the lunar surface induced by solar radiation can potentially threaten in situ resource utilization. Associated issues include dust adhesion and material degradation. Photoelectric currents are primary cause charging. This work reports on development a unit capable measuring photoelectric vacuum chamber, which simulate charging under conditions similar to those moon daytime. The main components mesh grid, photocathode specimen, ring collector. from an aluminum sample were measured...

Abstract A flexible and cost-effective electromechanical device for tactile sensing based on ZnO nanorods (ZnO NRs) grown fabrics is developed. Sensing performance the properties of ethylcellulose/polyurethane-coated NRs fabric substrates were tested by LCR meter, force transducer, vibrator, pulse analyzer. The peak-to-peak output voltage at an applied 21.5 N dropped considerably wool-, nylon-, PP reached to order 3.84 mV, 1.8 mV 4.1 respectively. Furthermore, frequency dependency...

Breaking the total internal reflection far above a critical angle (i.e., outcoupling deep-trap guided modes) can dramatically improve existing light-emitting devices. Here, we report modes outcoupler using densely arranged microstructured hollow cavities. Measurements of leaky mode dispersions hollow-cavity gratings accurately quantify wavelength-dependent strength angle, which is progressively improved over full visible spectrum by increasing packing density. Comparing hollow- and...

Developing countries struggle with water quality management due to poor infrastructure, limited expertise, and financial constraints. The lack of consistent power further limits the adoption modern facilities. Traditional testing relies on periodic site visits manual sampling by experts. This method is not suitable for continuous, wide-area monitoring because it cannot detect sudden contamination from heavy metal spills, impractical experts visit multiple sites every day over a large area....

It is possible to detect various microplastics (MPs) floating on water or contained in ice due the unique optical characteristics of plastics chemical compositions and structures. When MPs are measured spectral region between 800 1000 nm, which has relatively little influence temperature change water, they frequently perceived as noise obscured by surrounding reflection spectra because small number low intensity representative peak wavelengths.
