In elastomer-based materials, the effect of nanofillers holds utmost significance for preparing high-performance materials. This work introduces eco-friendly sodium alginate (NaAlg) biopolymers functionalized by silica-based natural rubber nanocomposites (ModSi10) to achieve superior chemical and mechanical properties. The structure–property relationship ModSi10 exhibits excellent physicomechanical properties, with an increase in tensile strength 7% elongation at break 11% a 1.9% lower...

Abstract Graphene nanoplatelet loading is varied in carbon black‐filled nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) to form a hybrid system. The mechanical properties of the system are determined by performing tension and compression tests. It found that graphene nanosheets well dispersed possessing strong interfacial interaction with NBR black. There an increment 9% tensile strength 4 phr without hampering ultimate strain. Further addition resulted degraded properties. Hyperelastic material models...

ABSTRACT The contribution of carbon black (CB) on changes in cross-link density (n) and physical entanglement has been quantified by swelling uniaxial stress–strain measurements considering Mooney–Rivlin parameters. Solution SBR (SSBR) vulcanizates with varying content high abrasion furnace (HAF) CB were studied. Rubber–filler networks increase the n values, which determined using Flory–Rehner modified Guth–Gold equations equilibrium study. parameter C1 was n, whereas C2, representing...
