Abstract This paper describes the comparison of anova and Kruskal-Wallis test by means power when violating assumption about normally distributed populations. The permutation method is used as a simulation to determine test. It appears that in case asymmetric populations non-parametric performs better than parametric equivalent method.

The balance of normal and radial (lateral) diffusion oxygen in phospholipid membranes is critical for biological function. Based on the Smoluchowski equation inhomogeneous solubility-diffusion model, Bayesian analysis (BA) can be applied to molecular dynamics trajectories extract free energy profiles. This paper derives a theoretical formalism convert these profiles into characteristic times lengths associated with entering, escaping, or completely crossing membrane. computes mean first...

Abstract There is an abundance of nonlinear fatigue damage accumulation models but a lack verification and comparison to experimental datasets. First, extensive two‐level block loading dataset reprocessed according current standard practice. Next, four the Palmgren–Miner linear rule are critically compared using range statistical metrics. For considered dataset, consistently performs worst curve approach found perform significantly better than other models. This study shows that practice...

Although a wide range of direction arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms has been described for diverse array configurations, no specific stochastic analysis framework established to assess the probability density function error on DOA estimates due random errors in geometry. Therefore, we propose collocation method that relies generalized polynomial chaos expansion connect statistical distribution position resulting estimates. We apply this technique conventional root-MUSIC and...

We establish a statistical framework for investigating the influence of correlated random displacements antenna elements in uniform circular array (UCA) on distribution direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimates. More specifically, we apply stochastic collocation method modeling sparse UCA root-MUSIC-DOA estimates as polynomial expansions displacements. Compared to Monte-Carlo simulations, this approach yields speedup about 40 case displacement two elements.
