This study investigated the prevalence of respiratory viruses, including syncytial virus (RSV), influenza types A and B (Flu A/B), parainfluenza (Para) 1-3, adenovirus (Ad), in hospitalized children with acute lower tract infections (ALRIs). Immunofluorescence assays identified viral etiology 412 patients younger than 16 years old. The overall isolation rate was 63.1% (260/412). RSV detected 25.0%, Flu A/B 19.4%, Para 1-3 14.6%, Ad 4.1% total sample. Multiple viruses were 6.6% population....
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), as a kind of endocrine disruptors, can enter the fetus body cross placental barrier from prenatal PAHs exposure to cause adverse birth outcomes. However, it is controversial association between and low weight (LBW) their infants. So present study aimed estimate effects during pregnancy on risk LBW in Chinese cohort through modifying DNA methylation states. A longitudinal prospective with 407 pregnant women was established May October 2019. The...
The mpox pandemic has caused widespread public concern around the world. spread of misinformation through internet and social media could lead to an infodemic that poses challenges control.
A scientific food emergency supply system is helpful for assuring supplies continuity, improving response efficiency, and reducing disaster losses. However, the framework a currently an understudied area in management post-disaster. In this study, comprehensive literature review of major databases was performed to identify potential indicators system, followed by two-round modified Delphi with multidisciplinary expert panel (n = 17) verify proposed framework. The effective rate...
Background: Disaster epidemiology has not attracted enough attention in the past few decades and still faces significant challenges. This study aimed to systematically analyze evolving trends research hotspots disaster provide insights into epidemiology. Methods: We searched Scopus Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) databases between 1985 2020 identify relevant literature on The retrieval strategies were TITLE-ABS-KEY (disaster epidemiology) TS = AND epidemiology). Bibliometrix,...
Emergency medical services (EMSs) are a critical component of health systems, often serving as the first point contact for patients. Understanding EMS supply and demand is necessary to meet growing improve service quality. Nevertheless, it remains unclear whether matches after 2016 healthcare reform in China. Background: Injury is one of the leading causes mortality and disability worldwide. It a major contributor to overall burden disease. This study aimed analyze temporal trend, research focus future direction related injury burden. Methods: Publications on published between January 1998 September 2022 were extracted from Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) through topic advanced search strategy. Microsoft Excel, RStudio, VOSviewer, CiteSpace used extract, integrate, visualize bibliometric...
Abstract Objective: Since December 2019, a new coronavirus viral was initially detected in Wuhan, China. Population migration increases the risk of epidemic transmission. Here, objective study is to estimate output quantitatively and evaluate effectiveness travel restrictions Wuhan city. Methods: We proposed modified susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered (SEIR) dynamics model predict number disease 2019 (COVID-19) symptomatic asymptomatic infections Wuhan. And, subsequently, we estimated...
Diagnosing Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) involves damages to multiple joints and carries variable clinical symptoms, posing great challenge the diagnosis of KBD for practitioners. However, it is still unclear which features are more informative among adolescent. We first manually extracted 26 possible including manifestations, pathological changes X-ray images from 400 non-KBD adolescents. With such features, we performed four classification methods, i.e., random forest algorithms (RFA),...
