Abstract: A sprinkler irrigation system was designed and applied for a tea field to achieve frost protection through latent heat released when water turning into ice. Frost effects during night were tested at different application rates by monitoring air temperature around canopy (Tc). Temperature sensors arranged distances from the sprinkler. The preliminary results showed that, worked continuously rate of 2-4 mm/h before sunrise, covered with ice Tc remained 0°C, preventing plants damage....

Abstract An all‐solid‐state pulse width adjustable Nd:YAG nanosecond laser at 1064 nm is demonstrated based on the bidirectional voltage supplied Q‐switched technology. Continuously pulse‐width from 4.6 to 32.3 ns generated in a linear cavity, which diode side‐pumped 808 100 Hz repetition rate. With 27 Q‐switch duration, shortest of with single energy 0.77 mJ and near‐Gaussian beam quality ( M 2 < 1.6) obtained. Our results suggest an approach generating lasers for applications LIDAR.

In this paper, we demonstrated an efficient degenerate middle infrared (mid-IR) ZGP-OPO that is pumped by electro-optically Q-switched diode-pumped Tm:YAP laser. The laser, operating at a repetition rate of 1 kHz, produced peak pulse energy 9.66 mJ 1.94 μm and minimum width 25 ns. Utilizing the laser as pump source, average output power 3.14 W 3.88 was achieved in with incident Tm 9.4 W, resulting slope efficiency 62.7% optical conversion 33.4%. measured 21 ns, leading to 149.5 kW....

Abstract Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) by surfactant flooding has been attractive. Among the surfactants developed alcohol polyoxypropylene (PO)‐polyoxyethylene (EO) ether sulfates (APES), also named extended surfactants, have proved efficient. However, arrangement of PO and EO chains as well hydrocarbon structure in molecules may significantly affect their performances. In this paper three APES, C 18−16 25 10 SO 4 Na (I), (PO/EO) 25+10 (II), 16 GA(PO/EO) (III) were prepared investigated,...

Abstract A method of admitting oil‐atomized air into a furnace to adjust coal combustion in down‐fired boiler is described. Experiments with small‐scale simulating down‐fired, pulverized‐coal, 300‐MW e utility were carried out at single‐phase test facility investigate the influence on aerodynamic field furnace. With acceleration oil by secondary air, primary air/fuel can reach more distant position respect burner nozzle and volume recirculation zone shrinks. Industrial experiments also...

This paper describes the physical design, rf measurement, and tuning result of a 325 MHz four-vane radio frequency quadrupole (RFQ) with ramped inter-vane voltage. The 3-meter-long RFQ will accelerate negative hydrogen ion beam from 50 keV to 3 MeV peak current 5 mA, pulse width $10--40\text{ }\text{ }\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{s}$, maximum repetition rate 0.5 Hz. During we reveal that coupling loop coaxial coupler adopted for this enhances interference between dipole field distribution...

A spectral splicing method is proposed for an optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) sensing system using a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser. An external cavity tunable laser (ECTL) used in conventional OFDR system. There are no reports to our knowledge about DBR as the light source has advantages of small size, mechanical scanning, easy integration, and low cost. However, due mode hopping, wavelength can only be continuously tuned range 1 nm. The was splice 39 partially...
