Abstract The past two decades of lunar exploration have seen the detection substantial quantities water on Moon’s surface. It has been proposed that a hydrated layer exists at depth in soils, buffering cycle Moon globally. However, reservoir yet to be identified for this layer. Here we report abundance, hydrogen isotope composition and core-to-rim variations measured impact glass beads extracted from soils returned by Chang’e-5 mission. preserve hydration signatures display abundance...

By using the high pressure synthesis method, we fabricated potassium-doped para-terphenyl. The temperature dependence of magnetization measured in both zero-field-cooled and field-cooled processes shows step-like transitions at about 125 K. This confirms an earlier report possible superconductivity-like transition same system. However, hysteresis loop exhibits a weak ferromagnetic background. estimate on diamagnetization this step that diamagnetic volume is only 0.04% low temperatures, if...

Abstract To date, only three polymorphisms (rs10830962, rs7754840 and rs1470579) are included in the genome-wide association study Catalog ( www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas ). However, available evidence is limited pregnant Chinese women. We aimed to explore associations of with GDM risk a population. conducted case-control (964 cases 1,021 controls) evaluate these risk. A logistic regression model was used calculate odds ratios (ORs) their confidence intervals (CIs). After adjustment for age,...

The production and stabilization of amorphous drugs by the nanoconfinement effect has recently become a research hotspot in pharmaceutical sciences. Herein, two guest/host systems, indomethacin (IMC) griseofulvin (GSF) confined anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates with different pore diameters (25-250 nm) are investigated differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS). crystallization is suppressed, their glass transition temperatures show an evident...

Context Zhishi Rhubarb Soup (ZRS) is a traditional Chinese medicine formula used in the clinic to treat acute cerebral infarction (ACI) for many years. However, exact mechanism of treatment remains unclear. Objective This study elucidates multitarget mechanisms underlying effects ZRS on ACI using network pharmacology analysis and verify its effect by performing animal experiments.Materials methods Using approach, multiple components, critical targets potential against were investigated. Abstract Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are transient sources at cosmological distances. No counterparts in other bands have been observed for non-repeating FRBs. Here we suggest the collapse of strange star (SS) crusts as a possible origin SSs, which composed almost equal numbers u, d, and s quarks, may be encapsulated by thin crust normal hadronic matter. When SS accretes matter from its environment, becomes heavier heavier. It finally collapse, leading to release large amount magnetic energy...

Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”. Such documents...

Theoretical calculations about LiPdH predict that it may be a superconductor. Using the high-pressure synthesis technique up to 3 GPa, we have successfully fabricated compound. The sample looks quite pure judging from refinement of X-ray diffraction pattern. However, no superconductivity has been detected down 2 K. specific heat measurement shows small Sommerfeld constant = 1.22 mJ mol K, which is bit smaller than theoretically predicted value. magnetic susceptibility measured at 1 Tesla...

Although the physical origin of gamma-ray burst (GRB) prompt emission is still controversial, synchrotron radiation from accelerated electrons a promising mechanism. It believed that are continuously by ultra-relativistic shocks or magnetic reconnections. At same time, these will be cooled via several processes (mainly adiabatic expansion, and inverse Compton scattering (ICS)), which regulate distribution electrons. An extra high-energy spectrum component expected to induced ICS. However,...

Using China’s environmental tax reform in 2018 as a quasi-natural experiment, this paper identifies the effect of raising rates on reducing pollution based micro-level data over 19 thousand firms nationwide. We estimate that for every unit rate increase, discharge concentrations water pollutants, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Ammonia Nitrogen (NH 3 -N), have significantly decreased by 1.37% 1.51%, emissions 8.79% 2.81%. Firms with high emission intensity reduce their more than low...

Abstract The last decade of lunar exploration has revealed the presence significant quantities water on Moon’s surface, notably characterised by global retention, release, and replenishment1-9. This led to proposition that a hydrated layer exists at depth in soils, buffering cycle Moon globally9. However, so far no candidate reservoir been identified for this layer. Here, we report abundances, hydrogen isotope compositions, their core rim variations, measured impact glass beads from...
