Nowadays, oily wastewater and spilled oil have caused great threats on both ecosystem human life. To address these severe problems, considerable efforts been possessed developing novel oil/water separation materials. The porous oil‐absorbent materials, especially the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with excellent properties of easy fabrication inherent hydrophobicity, attracted tremendous attentions from worldwide. conventional methods using salt or sugar as sacrificial template water solvent...

A fluorescence-amplifying method based on photonic crystal (PC) has been demonstrated for trace TNT detection. The fluorescence enhancement detection the optimized PC can be up to 60.6-fold in comparison that of control sample, which combines slow photon effect and large surface areas inverse opal structure. Furthermore, quenching efficiency PC-based sensor achieves 80% after exposure vapor 300 s. results suggest enormous potential development highly efficient sensors toward or other explosives.

The effect of simultaneously adding P and Cu on the crystallization behavior hetero-amorphous FeSiB alloy was investigated. Thermal properties microstructure evolution were studied by means X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, differential scanning, isothermal calorimetric methods. It is found that addition to changes its temperature as well apparent activation energy for crystallization. process mainly dominated three-dimensional growth with various nucleation rates selected...

Lightweight Al-based entropy alloys are newly emerged materials with promising potential for structural applications; however, their modeling and strengthening prediction require further exploration. In this study, the spatial distributions of various phases in three were investigated. A closely interconnected intermetallic compound (IC) network comprising Al2Cu Al45Cr7 was identified. Finite element (FE) conducted based on reconstructed three-dimensional microstructure to simulate...

An asymmetric cascade reaction between β-keto acylpyrazoles and o-quinone methides in a formal [4 + 2] fashion to access potentially pharmacological active trans-3,4-dihydrocoumarins has been achieved efficiently by using quinine-based chiral squaramide as the catalyst. The desired products were obtained high yields with excellent diastereo- enantioselectivities (up 96% yield, >19/1 dr ee) under mild conditions.
