Introduction: Petroclival meningiomas are challenging tumors located in a critical region at the skull base. These often present with specific clinical manifestations due to their proximity vital structures such as cranial nerves (CN) and major blood vessels. Management requires multidisciplinary approach its complexity risks, some studies even propose stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) an alternative surgery. This study aims demonstrate our experience treatment of petroclival meningiomas.
Background: Hemangioblastomas (HBL) are uncommon tumors of the central nervous system (CNS), corresponding to 1-2.5% all intracranial tumors. They can present sporadically or in patients with von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease and most often located cerebellum, brainstem, spinal cord.VHL is a multiple neoplasia syndrome inherited an autosomal dominant fashion caused by VHL suppressor gene deletion. We our experience management cerebellar HBL.Methods: Thirty consecutive HBL were included this...
Background Primary central nervous system lymphomas (PCNSL) are infrequent. The traditional treatment of choice is chemotherapy. Complete resections have generally not been recommended, because the risk permanent deficits with no proven improvement in survival. aim current study was to compare survival among patients PCNSL who underwent biopsy versus surgical resection. Methods A retrospective conducted on 50 a confirmed diagnosis treated at our center from January 1994 July 2015. Results...
Cerebellopontine angle lipomas are rare and attempts at surgical excision associated with significant morbidity. Lipomatosis of nerve, the fatty infiltration nerves, is a distinct entity. We present case intractible trigeminal neuralgia caused by lipomatosis nerve.A 25-year-old male presented severe right-sided neuralgia. Imaging showed lesion involving nerve signal characteristics fat. At surgery was found to be itself. Surgery therefore limited arachnoid adhesiolysis. The patient remains...
Invasive aspergillosis (IA) of the central nervous system (CNS) is an uncommon condition that usually occurs in immunocompromised patients. This illness can manifest as meningitis, or a micotic aneurism, stroke abscess. The infection affects CNS either primarily or, more often, secondarily via blood dissemination from distant focus, and has poor prognosis. We present patient with IA affecting cervical bones, later spread into brain.A 25-year old male was receiving chemotherapy for acute...
Pseudo-Chiari malformation results from caudal displacement of brain structures secondary to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) hypotension. Some case reports in the syringomyelia literature are associated with a pseudo-Chiari malformation. We present an example this type, treated surgically at our institution and review on rare condition. Case Description: A 27-year-old female patient history headache, brachial paresthesias, progressive motor deficit gait instability presented, 12 mm descent...

Introduction: Facial nerve preservation in vestibular schwannoma surgery mainly depends on the size of lesion and extent resection. Other variables, like peritumoral adhesions, tumor vascularization, facial trajectory, may also play a role, making their preoperative identification important to optimize rate.
