We report a facile synthesis procedure of multi-spiked star-shaped silver structures with sharp morphological features and broad plasmonic absorption for the fabrication surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates. The multi-branched morphology stars (AgSs) provides copious hot spots on SERS-active substrates to detect ultra-low concentrations probe molecules. Significant intensity enhancement factors order ∼109 were obtained different analytes. AgSs-based SERS-substrates show...

Terminal oncology intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalizations are associated with high costs and inferior quality of care. This study identifies characterizes potentially avoidable terminal admissions patients to ICUs.This was a retrospective case series cared for in an academic medical center's ambulatory practice who died ICU during July 1, 2012 June 30, 2013. An oncologist, intensivist, hospitalist reviewed each patient's electronic health record from 3 months preceding hospitalization...

The performance of a plasma thruster is assessed for efficient propulsion by analyzing the unique downstream characteristics produced Compact ECR Plasma Source (CEPS). For this, data presented in an earlier publication (Ganguli et al 2016 Sources Sci. Technol. 25 025026), wherein CEPS allowed to flow into small stainless (SS) steel chamber, are revisited so as throw new light on nature flowing out from CEPS. It shown that normalized axial density profiles bulk and warm electrons (on account...

Argon and hydrogen plasmas were produced by a Compact ECR Plasma Source (CEPS) attached coaxially to large chamber. This paper presents characterization results of the two using newly designed Langmuir Probe. Experiments in argon conducted benchmark plasma parameters determine efficacy CEPS for thruster applications, recommended recent (Ganguli et al 2019 Sources Sci. Technol. 28 035014), while experiments undertaken typical range assessing usefulness different applications. In plasma, high...

Plasma thrusters are required for deep space applications reducing the fuel payload. This paper evaluates capability of a Compact ECR Source (CEPS) as standalone plasma thruster in space. The unique magnetic field profile CEPS' ring magnets enables very efficient production and electron heating within CEPS source section (ID ≈8.5 cm, length ≈11.6 cm) resulting high potentials. Experiments were undertaken with attached coaxially to larger expansion chamber ≈48.2 ≈75 cm). Diagnostics included...

Abstract Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has led to a notable rise in telemental health (TMH) and telepsychiatry services. However, there is limited available literature addressing psychiatric disorders mental issues among individuals who have recovered from COVID-19. Aims Objectives: To evaluate the characteristics of TMH screening, diagnosis, care offered Materials Methods: This retrospective record-based study focused on patients had recuperated COVID-19 were...
