In the present work, water sorption behaviors at different temperatures ranging from 20 to 80 °C were monitored in a model Novolac cured epoxy resin (EP) and its esterfied ramifications (with CH3COO, CH3CH2CH2COO, C6H5CH2COO side groups referred as EPA, EPB, EPP, respectively). light of gravimetric measurements positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy, mechanism was established, which suggested that equilibrium content thermodynamically controlled, while diffusion process kinetically...
Abstract Epoxy network systems based on DGEBA (bisphenol-A-diglycidyl ether) with two kinds of polysiloxane low molecular weight, ATPS (aminopropyldimethyl-terminated polysiloxane) and PTPS (phenyl-terminated polysiloxane), were prepared annealed at 175°C. Their physical aging data curve fitted the Kohlrausch-William-Watts (KWW) equation thermal expansion behaviors both quenched strained samples investigated. Results show that curve-fitted ΔH e reflects relative amount "frozen-in" excess...
Abstract In this work the relationship between structure and water sorption for epoxy films was studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It is shown that spectroscopy can be applied to obtain information about amount of absorbed by film permeation through film, while only obtained from “sorption method”. The free volume decisive factor both in cured film.
Abstract To study the effect of water affinity cured epoxy resin on sorption and permeation in resin, a novel hardener (esterfied phenol novolac was synthesized used for obtaining product without free hydroxyl group. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) were to cure kinetics o-cresol using esterfied as curing agent presence 2-methylimidazole accelerator. Some kinetic parameters reaction such order, activation energy, frequency factor...
