A spectral element time-domain (SETD) method with perfectly matched layers (PML) is proposed to simulate the behavior of electron waves, interference effects and tunneling effects, in three-dimensional (3-D) devices by solving Schrodinger equation. The employs Gauss- ¨ Lobatto-Legendre (GLL) polynomials represent wave function. Easy construction higher-order makes refinement straightforward accuracy can be obtained from SETD. Meanwhile, utilizing GLL quadrature, a diagonal mass matrix which...

The conformal finite difference time domain (CFDTD) algorithm is employed in this paper to simulate the radiation and impedance characteristics of circular microstrip patches mounted on a spherical surface. Numerical results not only demonstrate its versatility, but accuracy numerical efficiency CFDTD method as well.
