SUMMARY Fertilizer application can play an important role in soil organic carbon (SOC) retention and dynamics. The mechanisms underlying long-term accumulation protection of SOC intensive maize cropping systems, however, have not been well documented for cool high-latitude rainfed areas. Based on a 23-year fertilization experiment under continuous system at Gongzhuling, Jilin Province, China, the effects regimes content aggregate-associated (C) composition were investigated. Results showed...
SUMMARY Ten leading varieties of winter wheat released during 1950–2009 in North China were tested a free-air temperature increase (FATI) facility. The FATI facility mimicked the local air pattern well, with an 1·1 °C daily mean temperature. For all varieties, warming caused significant reduction total length growth period by 5 days and especially pre-anthesis period, where it was reduced 9 days. However, increased biomass production grain yield 8·4 11·4%, respectively, on average varieties....
Magnolia sieboldii, an important ornamental tree native to East Asia, comprises two subspecies in distinct regions, with wild populations facing suboptimal survival. This study aimed understand the potential habitat distribution of these under future climate-change conditions support climate-adaptive conservation. The maximum entropy (MaxEnt) model was used occurrence and environmental data simulate current suitable habitats various climate scenarios. Precipitation warmest quarter played a...
Predicting non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) among adolescents is challenging due to its complex behavioral drivers and diverse predictors. Machine learning (ML) methods, though promising in various predictions, have been underexplored for NSSI adolescents, particularly with large-scale cross-sectional datasets. In this study, we compiled 30 potential predictive variables from existing research used psychological survey data 2,343 participants across 14 Chinese psychiatry hospitals. The...
