Abstract Transparent yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) ceramics doped with cerium ions (Ce 3+ ) were successfully synthesized using the spark plasma sintering (SPS) process at a temperature of 1600 °C, isothermal exposure 10 minutes, pressure 100 MPa and heating rate °C/min from mechanical mixture powders yttrium, aluminum, oxides. Transmittance in visible range for 1 mm thick samples is above 40 %; near infrared 60 %. Vickers hardness was 15±1.05 GPa. The optimal SPS conditions have been...
Subject of study. This study focuses on multilayer yttrium aluminum garnet/yttria-stabilized zirconia (YAG/YSZ) ceramics doped with rare earth ions. Aim The aim this is to produce luminescent composed YAG:CeO 2 /YSZ:Eu O 3 an increased shape factor using the spark plasma sintering technique and investigate their complex optical-luminescent characteristics, which have potential applications as radiation converters. Method. functionally graded ceramic samples were fabricated technique....
Magnesium aluminate spinel is a promising material for optical application. It can be used as transparent armor, spacecraft windows, scanners, elements in night vision systems, well base (matrix) scintillation and laser materials. The wide range of practical applications MgAl2O4 ceramics due to the complex its unique properties. research aimed creating ceramic materials with an increased shape factor, relevant high importance. In presented work, comprehensive characterization commercial...
Yttrium-aluminum garnet (Y3Al5O12) is an optical material that shows great potential due to its favorable light-emitting and mechanical properties, as well chemical stability thermal resistance. It commonly utilized in laser technology, instruments, solid-state light sources a result of activation by transition metal or rare earth element ions. In this work, experiments were carried out on the procedure for compacting samples luminescent ceramics Y3Al5O12:Ce3+, single-base pressing followed...
